Two 4 Tuesday

This is a hand-made wall hanging, in honor of the maker’s family member who suffered from Alzheimer’s; being one of many displayed at the Shelburne Museum during the months of May through October.

Walking in and being surrounded by such heart-pouring art really touched me. As I reviewed each piece, tears flowed from my eyes. My faith assures me that those who knew The Lord while their memory’s were strong, continue to know Him on the inside as they live with this disease; whether or not we (on the outside) are able to see or understand. I trust Him in that ♥

Matthew 5:8 reminds us…”God blesses those whose hearts are pure, for they will see God.”

Two 4Tuesday

Unbreakable/Fragile

With this week’s theme, I chose to display “History” as my contribution. Impressed by the unbreakable bond that we share with those gone before us, the proof of life once existing and the unique ways of living; we realize how fragile it all can be.

My family went to the Shelburne Museum last weekend, a place that we often go, but always find more to catch out attention; things that were there, that we’ve not seen once before. Full of life, of history, unbreakable and fragile.

Found, here in Vermont, as workers were going to tear apart a building….these old circus posters were fixed underneath the siding, onto the original structure of the building. Again, an unbreakable piece of history…yet so fragile to keep. Restorers worked hard at keeping what they could of the old posters and a few can be found on the walls of the Circus building here.
