Two 4 Tuesday

In Alzheimers, Matthew, Shelburne Museum, Two 4 Tuesday on August 31, 2010 at 2:21 pm
L I F E

This is a hand-made wall hanging, in honor of the maker’s family member who suffered from Alzheimer’s; being one of many displayed at the Shelburne Museum during the months of May through October.

Walking in and being surrounded by such heart-pouring art really touched me. As I reviewed each piece, tears flowed from my eyes. My faith assures me that those who knew The Lord while their memory’s were strong, continue to know Him on the inside as they live with this disease; whether or not we (on the outside) are able to see or understand. I trust Him in that ♥

Matthew 5:8 reminds us…”God blesses those whose hearts are pure, for they will see God.”

There’s never enough time to do all the nothing you want.

Writer of Calvin and Hobbes

But Jesus said, “Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.” (Matthew 11:29)

Rest for The Weary

In Buildings, Edward George Bulwer-Lytton, Matthew, Simply Joyful Photos Blog Imported, Wagons on November 20, 2009 at 5:28 pm

We live longer than our forefathers; but we suffer more from a thousand artificial anxieties and cares. They fatigued only the muscles, we exhaust the finer strength of the nerves. ~Edward George Bulwer-Lytton

They Are All Beautiful

The Amen! of Nature is always a flower.
Oliver Wendell Holmes, Sr.

Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they neither toil nor spin;
yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
Matthew 6:28 NIV

A Quiet Place

In Edward Carpenter, Matthew, Scenic, Simply Joyful Photos Blog Imported on July 19, 2009 at 5:14 pm
Let your mind be quiet, realizing the beauty of this world,
and the immense, the boundless treasures that it holds in store.

All that you have within you, all that your heart desires,

all that your nature so specially fits your for –
that or the counterpart of it waits embedded in the great Whole, for you.
It will surely come to you.
Edward Carpenter

A Quiet Place

Here’s what I want you to do: Find a quiet, secluded place so you won’t be tempted to role-play before God. Just be there as simply and honestly as you can manage. The focus will shift from you to God, and you will begin to sense His grace…..This is your Father you are dealing with, and He knows better than you what you need. With a God like this loving you, you can pray very simply.
Matthew 6:6-13
